Public Notice: NDOT Open House Regarding US-275 & Highway 92 Expansion

Public Notice: NDOT Open House for US-275 & Highway 92 Expansion

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) will hold a public information open house meeting regarding the proposed expansion of approximately 16 miles of U.S. Highway 275 (US-275) and Nebraska Highway 92 (N-92) in Saunders and Douglas counties.

Identified as Mead - US-6/N-31, the proposed project would expand the existing two-lane highway to a four-lane highway to improve roadway capacity, address deteriorating pavement, and enhance bridge conditions.

📅 Public Meeting Details

The meeting will be held in an open-house format. There is no formal presentation, so members of the public are welcome to arrive at any time during the advertised hours to speak one-on-one with project personnel.

  • Date: Tuesday, May 5, 2026

  • Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Location: Yutan Veterans Country Club

  • Address: 1581 Yutan Rd, Yutan, NE 68073

🏗️ Project Scope & Impact

The expansion covers three highway segments:

  • N-92: From just east of the US-77/N-92 junction to the N-92/US-275 junction.

  • US-275: From approximately one mile north of the L-28E junction extending south and east to the US-6 junction.

  • L-28E: From the L-28E/US-275 junction south and west to the L-28E/N-92 junction.

Estimated Cost: $250–$300 million (Federal and State funding).

Construction Timeline: Work could begin as early as 2032, depending on available funding.

Property Rights: The project may require new right-of-way, easements, or relocations. Impacted property owners will be contacted by a representative once the design footprint is established.
